Primary Animation

On these pages you can see animations made by pupils at primary schools in Cambridge, working with the two secondary schools in the Parkside Federation.

The films on this page were made as part of a project run by the Cambridge Film Consortium. All the films are based on folk tales from East Anglia.

Year 5 & 6 pupils worked with the animator Lizzie Hobbs, the storyteller Alan Davies, the composer Andrew Lovett, and with teachers from Parkside. The pupils created all the scripts, artwork, sounds and music, and then used 'Complete Animator' software to create the films.

You can read contemporary accounts of this project on the Futurelab website, here...

... and on the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust website here.
